New Delhi: Due to dense fog and limited visibility in northern India, over 50 trains experienced delays on Saturday morning. The Northern Railways issued a list of these delayed trains on X, highlighting some significant delays:
- The 12303 Poorva Express, traveling from Kolkata’s Howrah Junction (HWH) to New Delhi (NDLS), is over four hours late.
- The 12533 Vaishali Express from Saharsa Junction to New Delhi and the 22181 Jabalpur Hazrat Nizamuddin Gondwana Superfast Express are delayed by more than three hours.
- Additionally, the 22436 New Delhi Vande Bharat Express is also more than four hours late, while the Varanasi Vande Bharat Express is 14 hours behind schedule.
- The New Delhi Vande Bharat Express is delayed by 8 hours and 17 minutes, and the Anand Vihar Terminal Superfast Express is over seven hours late.

This is the second consecutive day that rail and air travel have been disrupted due to the thick fog. At Indira Gandhi International Airport, at least 50 flights have been delayed, and air traffic at Srinagar airport has been suspended on Saturday morning.
According to the India Meteorological Department, very dense fog is expected to continue affecting parts of Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar, while dense fog will persist in regions of West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, northern Rajasthan, and northern Madhya Pradesh.
