ACB caught Inspector red-handed in Jhansi for taking bribe of 15 thousand rupees

Jhansi, July 10: On Thursday morning, the Anti-Corruption Team arrested Inspector Vineet Kumar while taking a bribe of 15 thousand rupees in Jhansi. He is posted at the Mauranipur police station. He had demanded this bribe in exchange for increasing the section in the case. The Anti-Corruption Team surrounded him on the complaint of the victim.

This morning, when the inspector took a bribe from the victim, the team arrested him red-handed. The team took him to the Premnagar police station in Jhansi. A case is being registered against the inspector here.

Bribe was demanded in a case of assault

On 28 June, a fight broke out between Jwala Prasad Yadav and Brij Kishore in Melauni village of the Mauranipur police station area. The next day, Jwala’s son Abhishek Yadav alias Chhotu filed a case of assault against Brij Kishore and others at Mauranipur police station. At the same time, a case was registered against Jwala, Abhishek and others on the complaint of Brij Kishore of the other side.

The investigation of both cases was handed over to Inspector Vineet Kumar. Jwala was seriously injured in the fight. Her leg was broken. On this, Abhishek asked the inspector to take strict action against the accused and increase the section, then he started demanding 40 thousand rupees.

Action was taken after the deal was finalised

Abhishek Yadav said- My father’s leg was broken, and he also had a serious injury in the shoulder. For 12 days, Inspector Vineet Kumar was neither increasing the section nor taking action against the accused. He was asking for a bribe in lieu of increasing the section for the broken leg. The deal was finalised for 40 thousand rupees. In this, 15 thousand rupees were to be paid in advance, and 25 thousand rupees after increasing the section.

Abhishek Yadav, a resident of Baghpat, said that we complained to the anti-corruption team. The inspector called us to Ambedkar Square in Mauranipur on Thursday morning with money. The anti-corruption team led by inspector Thakurdas reached Ambedkar Square with the victim. The inspector came here and called me. I gave him 15 thousand rupees. Then the team got a signal and caught the inspector Vineet Kumar. The accused inspector Vineet Kumar is a resident of Tettiri in Baghpat.
