Big changes from July 1: Train fares increased, Aadhaar mandatory for Tatkal and PAN, UPI rules changed, LPG became cheaper

Jaipur, July 1: From today, many important rules have been implemented across the country, which are related to rail travel, gas prices, digital payments and documentation. Know what these changes are:

1. Railway travel has become expensive

Railways have increased fares, keeping in mind the rising cost:

♦Non-AC trains: Rs. 0.01/km hike

♦AC classes: Rs. 0.02/km hike

♦For example, a 1000 km AC journey will now cost ₹20 more.

2. Aadhaar linking is necessary for Tatkal tickets

♦In the first 10 minutes of Tatkal ticket booking, only those passengers whose IRCTC accounts are linked to Aadhaar will be able to book. This will stop booking by bots and agents.

♦Common passengers will be able to get tickets.

3. Aadhaar is mandatory for making PAN card

♦From July 1, it is necessary to have Aadhaar to get a new PAN card.

♦e-PAN card will be made online in just 10 minutes.

♦The fee is Rs. 107.

♦The mobile number must be linked to Aadhaar.

4. Now the name of the real recipient will be visible in UPI payment

♦NPCI has implemented new rules, under which only the name of the recipient verified by the bank will be visible in UPI payment.

♦The QR code or changed name will no longer be visible.

♦This will reduce fraud and wrong transfers.

5. Commercial gas cylinder becomes cheaper
19 kg commercial gas cylinder has become cheaper by ₹57 to ₹58.50 in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai:

The purpose of these changes is to increase transparency, prevent fraud and provide better service to the public, although some changes may prove to be costly for the common citizens. There may be many such changes in the future, so stay updated.
