June brings 6 major changes: LPG and ATF prices cut, New PF withdrawal & UPI rules introduced

New Delhi, June 1: The new month i.e. June, has brought many changes with it. Today, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has been reduced by Rs 25.50. Apart from this, the price of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) has also come down to Rs 2391.27. This can make air travel cheaper.

Suryoday Small Finance Bank has reduced the interest rate on FD by 0.20%. General citizens will now get interest ranging from 4% to 8.4% on FD. Apart from this, from this month, employees can get the facility of withdrawing PF money directly from an ATM and UPI.

6 changes happening in the month of June…

1. 19 kg cylinder became cheaper

Oil companies have reduced the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder by Rs 24 in Delhi. After this, the price of commercial LPG cylinder here has now become Rs 1723.50.

However, there is no change in the price of a 14.2 KG domestic gas cylinder. It is available for Rs 853 in Delhi and Rs 852.50 in Mumbai.

2. Change in FD interest rates

Suryoday Small Finance Bank has reduced the interest rates on its FDs from June 1, 2025. General citizens will now get interest ranging from 4% to 8.4% on FDs. At the same time, senior citizens will now get interest ranging from 4.40% to 8.80% on FDs.

3. New cut-off time in mutual funds

SEBI has implemented a new cut-off time for overnight mutual fund schemes. Now the time will be 3 PM for offline transactions and 7 PM for online. Orders placed after this will be considered on the next working day. The advantage of this will be that investors will have more time to get the net asset value (NAV) of that day.

4. You can withdraw PF money from ATM and UPI

The central government Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) is preparing for a big change in June. According to media reports, as per the draft of EPFO ​​3.0, employees may soon get the facility to withdraw PF money directly from ATM and UPI.

Under EPFO ​​3.0, PF account holders will be provided withdrawal cards. This will be completely like a bank ATM card. Under the new facility, only a fixed amount can be withdrawn. This will ensure that the employee will be able to withdraw money for emergency, but even after retirement, sufficient amount will be ensured in the account.

5. Now the name of the real receiver will be visible in UPI transactions

NPCI has implemented a new rule under which while making UPI payment, the user will only see the banking name of the ultimate beneficiary i.e. the real receiver. QR code or edited names will no longer be visible. All UPI apps will have to implement these rules by June 30.

6. Reduction in prices of aviation turbine fuel

Oil marketing companies have reduced the prices of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF). According to the website of Indian Oil, the price of ATF in Delhi has come down by Rs 2414.25 to Rs 83,072.55 per kilolitre. This reduction in prices can make air travel cheaper.
