'Kashi Tamil Sangamam 3.0' to be launched in Varanasi today

New Delhi: The ‘Kashi Tamil Sangamam 3.0’ is set to kick off in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, today, February 15, and will continue until February 25. This event aims to unite individuals from all over India to honor the long-standing cultural and intellectual connections between Tamil Nadu and Kashi.

The inaugural ceremony will feature notable attendees, including Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Dr. L. Murugan.

This grand event seeks to highlight the shared cultural and educational heritage of both regions, which have historically been hubs of learning, spirituality, and cultural growth. Participants will enjoy a spiritual journey, visiting significant sites such as Maha Kumbh and Shri Ayodhya Dham.

The attendees will be organized into six groups, each comprising 200 individuals. This year’s theme pays homage to the esteemed sage Maharishi Agasthya, with activities taking place at the renowned Namo Ghat in Varanasi.

In addition to various cultural events, the program will showcase exhibitions detailing Sage Agasthya’s contributions to health, philosophy, science, and literature. Throughout the event, there will also be seminars, workshops, and book launches.

Kashi Tamil Sangamam 3.0 is designed to encourage cultural exchange, enhance mutual understanding, and strengthen the connections between the youth of Tamil Nadu and Kashi, enriching India’s diverse heritage.
