Budan (Uttar Pradesh): Fire broke out at an exhibition held at Ram Leela Maidan in Budaun, Uttar Pradesh, prompting a swift response from local authorities. The fire, which is believed to have been caused by a short circuit or other factors, destroyed around 20 to 25 shops. The exhibition, organized by the Nagar Palika and scheduled to last for a month, was approaching its final days when the incident occurred.

Firefighters arrived quickly and worked diligently to control the blaze. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties have been reported, though the extent of property damage is still being evaluated. Vijendra Dwivedi, SP City of Budaun, stated that the fire started around 8:15 PM, with the preliminary suspicion of an electrical short circuit, though investigations are ongoing to confirm the exact cause. The fire rapidly spread, affecting multiple shops within the exhibition area.

He added, “There are no casualties so far. An inquiry is in progress to determine the precise reason for the fire, and the damages to the shopowners are being assessed.”
