Mirzapur: A speeding truck hit a tractor in Mirzapur claiming the lives of 10 people in the accident. The condition of 3 is said critical and they have been referred to Trauma Center Varanasi. The accident happened at 1 o’clock in the night near Kachhwa on Prayagraj-Varanasi highway. People riding a tractor trolley were going from Bhadohi to Varanasi.
The speed of the truck was so high that it climbed over the tractor. Due to the collision, some people jumped from the trolley and fell on the road 15 feet away, while some fell into the drain.
All the workers riding the tractor trolley were going to their home in Varanasi after doing roof casting work in Tiuri village of Bhadohi. The contractor of the workers was also following the tractor-trolley on a bike when an uncontrollable truck came from Aurai.
By the time the tractor driver could understand anything, the accident happened. After the accident, the truck driver fled. Police reached on information from passersby. Relief and rescue work started. A crane was called and the truck and tractor were separated.
The injured were admitted to the district hospital and the bodies of the deceased were sent for postmortem. After the accident, angry locals blocked the road and started creating a ruckus. On receiving information about this, SP Abhinandan and CO Sadar reached the spot. They somehow convinced the people and got the jam cleared.

The deceased have been identified as Bhanu Pratap (25), Vikas (20), resident of Ram Singhpur Mirzamudar and Anil (35), Suraj Kumar (22), Sanohar (25), Rakesh Kumar (25), Prem Kumar (40), Rahul Kumar (26), Nitin Kumar (22), Roshan Kumar, resident of Birbalpur. The injured include Akash (18), Jamuni (26), Ajay Saroj (50), resident of Birbalpur.
