Mohan Bhagwat hoists flag at RSS headquaters, raises issue of attacks on Bangladeshi Hindus

Nagpur: RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat hoisted the national flag at the RSS headquarters. In his address he talked about protecting the independence. He also raised issue of Bangladesh unrest and attacks carried out on Hindus.

While hoisting the flag at the RSS headquarters in Nagpur, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said, ‘We are completing our 78th Independence Day. We got independence after the sacrifices of countless people. The generation who fought for our independence is no more, but the coming generations have protect it.”

He said, “It is the duty of the coming generation to protect the independence because there are always people in the world who want to dominate other countries and we have to be alert and cautious from them and protect ourselves.”

Indirectly referring to Bangladesh, Mohan Bhagwat said that there is a lot of disturbance in the neighboring country and the Hindu brothers there have to bear the heat of it. It is not their fault but still, they have to bear all this. Referring to India’s context, he said that “we have never attacked anyone in the past, but it has been our tradition to help whoever has come seeking help. Even if he has behaved with us later in any way. We have never attacked anyone, we have helped those who were in trouble. This is the tradition of our country. We have to move forward in this way. In this situation, we also have to see that our country remains safe and at the same time we have to help other countries as well.”

Bhagwat said, “It is the responsibility of our country to ensure that the people suffering from instability and anarchy do not have to face any trouble, injustice and atrocities. In some cases, the government also has to look at its level, but it gets strength only when the society fulfills its duty and shows commitment to the country. ”

In Bangladesh, after the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina recently, there are reports of vandalism in many Hindu temples, houses of people of the Hindu community and business establishments. The country went into chaos after violent protests against the Sheikh Hasina-led government over the controversial quota system in jobs. Hasina resigned and left the country to India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked about Bangladeshi Hindus

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his Independence Day address from the ramparts of the Red Fort, expressed hope that the situation in Bangladesh will soon return to normal and the safety of Hindus and other minority communities will be ensured there. PM Modi said, “As a neighboring country, it is natural for us to be concerned about what has happened in Bangladesh. I hope that the situation there will return to normal soon. The concern of 140 crore countrymen is that the safety of the Hindu minority community should be ensured there.”

He said, “India always wants that our neighboring countries follow the path of happiness and peace. We have a commitment to peace, we have our values. In the coming days, we will always have our best wishes for Bangladesh’s development journey because we are people who think about the welfare of mankind.”
