No relief to Arvind Kejriwal as CBI seeks time to reply on bail plea, next hearing on Sept 5

In a setback to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, CBI has sought time to reply to the bail plea moved by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The next hearing in this matter will be on September 5 by the Supreme Court.

Supreme Court adjourned for the September 5 hearing of pleas of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal seeking bail and challenging the Delhi High Court order upholding his arrest by the CBI in a corruption case stemming from the alleged excise policy scam. Supreme Court granted one-week further time to CBI to file a reply in one of the pleas.
