New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi led a comprehensive high-level meeting with Secretaries from various government ministries and departments to assess the country’s overall readiness and inter-ministerial coordination amid recent security developments.
During the session, PM Modi emphasized the importance of smooth collaboration across ministries and agencies to ensure ongoing operations and strengthen institutional resilience. He reviewed the planning and preparations made by different departments to tackle the current situation effectively.
Secretaries were instructed to conduct in-depth reviews of their respective operations, focusing on maintaining the integrity of essential systems, emergency response capabilities, and internal communication protocols. They shared their strategies for a whole-of-government approach to managing the situation.
All participating ministries identified specific action points related to the ongoing conflict and are working to enhance their processes. They expressed confidence in their capacity to handle any emerging challenges.
Key issues discussed included boosting civil defense mechanisms, combating misinformation and fake news, and securing critical infrastructure. Ministers were also advised to coordinate closely with state authorities and local institutions for a unified response.
The meeting was attended by the Cabinet Secretary, senior officials from the Prime Minister’s Office, and Secretaries from critical departments such as Defence, Home Affairs, External Affairs, Information & Broadcasting, Power, Health, and Telecommunications.
PM Modi called for heightened vigilance, strong institutional coordination, and clear communication as the country navigates this sensitive period, reaffirming the government’s dedication to national security, operational readiness, and citizen safety.
