Police held two in Punjab recovers 9 mm Glock pistols seized, four magzines

 

Punjab: The Punjab polices counter intelligence on Saturday in Pathnkot have busted a gangsters module arrested its two members recovers 9 mm Glock pistols seized, four magzines and 14 catridges from his procession.

The police have identified the duo as  Sunil Kumar, a resident of Rauwal in Batala, and Dilpreet Singh, a resident of Raimal in Batala.

Police officials said that the accused Sunil has a criminal history with a case under the NDPS Act registered against him.

He was released on bail from the Gurdaspur Jail on February 27. DGP Yadav said preliminary investigations have revealed that the accused had received the consignment of weapons from Ajnala of Amritsar following directions of their handlers and were instructed to deliver it further to an unknown party.

A case in this regard have been registered and further invitigation ahve ben setup to uncover the source of the weapons and identification of peoples invoved in this gang.

Speaking with the media the Assistant general of police, Pathnkot, Sukhimander Singh Mann after recieving information about accused Sunil Kumar and his associate is in touch with gangsters the police have launched a operation and arrested duo.

A case under the Section 25 of the Arms Act and Section 61 (2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Police Station State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) Amritsar and further invitigation ahve been setup.
