‘Aapka Tone Sahi Nahi Hai’ Dispute between Jaya Bachchan and Dhankhar over ‘tone’ in Rajya Sabha

New Delhi: The proceedings of Parliament have started once again during the monsoon session. But there is a ruckus in the Rajya Sabha over Jaya Bachchan. Ghanshyam Tiwari had made an unparliamentary comment on LOP a few days ago, on which notice was given by the opposition. The opposition had raised that issue today, during which the chairman commented on Jaya Bachchan, after which the opposition MPs walked out.

During the proceedings in the Rajya Sabha on Friday, Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan told the chairman, ‘I am an artist and understand body language. Sorry, your tone is not right. I do not accept this.’ Chairman Dhankhar got angry at this comment of Jaya Bachchan. He called it an insult to him and said that it would not be tolerated. Dhankhar said, ‘You are a celebrity. You have achieved great success. You know that an actor is a subject of the director. But you are questioning my tone. I will not tolerate this.

Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar told Jaya Bachchan, “You may be a celebrity, but…”. After this, the opposition walked out. Tiruchi Siva and Jaya Bachchan supported the speech of Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge in Rajya Sabha. SP MP Bachchan told Dhankhar that his tone is “not acceptable.” Dhankhar told Jaya Bachchan that you did not see what I was seeing from here. He further said that he “does not want to go to school.”

Strong protest in Rajya Sabha, when Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar expressed displeasure over Jaya Bachchan’s remarks and the demands of the opposition. You want to destabilize the whole country, Dhankhar told the opposition protesting in the House. He said, “Kharge, I will not be a party to letting this house become a centre of unrest.” Dhankhar said, “You are determined to get your way at the cost of the Constitution.”
