New Delhi : After Manohar Lal Khattar resigned as Haryana Chief Minister, Congress MP Deepender Hooda said that this is happening in Haryana because the public has decided to bring change.
“All that is happening in Haryana is because the public has decided to bring change. The public was upset with the present government in the state. We are keeping a close eye on the developments.” said Congress MP Deepender Hooda.
Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said that it is the time for change.
“It’s time for change The stampede that we are seeing today in Haryana is happening under the pressure of farmers, youth and wrestlers and the same is going to happen in the country too,” Jairam Ramesh posted on X.
Meanwhile, taking a jibe on the resignation of Manohar Lal Khattar, Hisar MP Brijendra Singh said, “I don’t know much poetry, but these words come to mind from today’s events – “We came out of your house with great disrespect (“bade beabaroo hokar tere kooche se ham nikale).”
Earlier, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday resigned at the state Chief Minister hours after the BJP alliance with the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) broke. The JJP led by Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala had 10 MLAs in the Haryana Assembly.
Manohar Lal Khattar submitted his resignation letter to Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya.
Visuals showed Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar reaching Haryana Niwas along with a few senior MLAs in Chandigarh on Tuesday.
After leaving Raj Bhavan senior BJP Leader Kanwar Pal Gujjar said “CM and the cabinet ministers have resigned and the Governor has accepted the resignations.”
On being asked who will be the next Chief Minister Gujjar said ” The CM will continue to be the CM.”
