Rahul Gandhi responds to Pratap Sarangi's Allegations of 'Push' After BJP MP Injured in Chaos Outside Parliament

New Delhi: A major controversy erupted outside Parliament as BJP and Opposition MPs staged parallel protests. BJP MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi claimed he was injured after Rahul Gandhi allegedly pushed an MP, causing him to fall. Sarangi said he was standing on the stairs when the incident occurred, resulting in a head injury.

In his defense, Rahul Gandhi said he was trying to enter Parliament when BJP MPs tried to block, push, and threaten him. He stated that the central issue is the BJP’s attack on the Constitution and the disrespect towards Ambedkar’s legacy. Gandhi also mentioned that Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge was also pushed during the scuffle.

Earlier, BJP MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi alleged that he was hurt when another MP, pushed by Rahul Gandhi, fell on him while he was standing on the stairs. Sarangi was later rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The BJP MPs were protesting in Parliament over Congress allegedly insulting Babasaheb Ambedkar. They chanted slogans such as “Insult to Babasaheb Ambedkar will not be tolerated” and held banners reading, “Ambedkar showed us the path, Congress misled us.”

Union Minister Giriraj Singh criticized the Gandhi family for not honoring Ambedkar with the Bharat Ratna, despite receiving it themselves. He suggested the Congress should fast for 24 hours to atone for their sins.

Meanwhile, Opposition MPs led by Rahul Gandhi protested in Parliament, demanding the resignation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah over his comments on Ambedkar. Many MPs, including Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, wore blue clothes in protest. Both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned amid the ongoing protests, with the Congress and other opposition members criticizing Amit Shah’s remarks on Ambedkar made during his attack on Congress in the Rajya Sabha. The controversy has escalated, with Congress calling for the resignations of Amit Shah and Prime Minister Modi, while BJP leaders criticized the opposition party.
