Re-exam of 1563 NEET UG candidates today who got grace marks in NEET results

New Delhi: Re-exam will be held today i.e. on 23rd June for 1563 candidates who got grace marks in NEET result. The exam is to be held between 2 pm to 5:20 pm.

NTA has released the admit cards for the re-exam on 20th June. The result of this exam will be released by 30th June. After the revised result of NEET UG is released, the counseling process will start from 6th July.

Earlier, amid the NEET-UG exam controversy, the central government removed NTA (National Testing Agency) Director General Subodh Kumar Singh at 9 pm on Saturday night. Pradeep Singh Kharola has been appointed as the new DG.

On the other hand, the Center has handed over the investigation of the alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG exam to the CBI. The Education Ministry announced this late on Saturday night.

Exam is being held in 6 cities
NEET re-exam is being held in those six cities, where grace marks were given to the children due to loss of time. Re-exam is in these 6 cities but the exam centers have been changed. These 6 cities are-

1.Balod, Chhattisgarh
2. Dantewada, Chhattisgarh
3. Surat, Gujarat
4.Meghalaya, Meghalaya
5.Bahadurgarh, Haryana
6.Chandigarh

    Exam will not be held in Jhajjar center of Haryana
    6 candidates scoring 720/720 were found from Jhajjar center of Haryana. Re-exam will not be conducted at this center. Officials associated with the Ministry of Education said that the exam centers have been changed to ensure that there is no problem during the exam.

    NTA has appointed observers at the test centers set up for this exam. Officials of NTA and Ministry of Education will also be present at the exam centers during the exam.

    NEET PG exam postponed late night
    At 10 pm on Saturday, the Union Health Ministry postponed the NEET PG entrance exam. The exam was to be held today on June 23. The ministry has said that this is being done as a precautionary measure. The new date of the exam will be announced soon.

    The Ministry of Health said, ‘Keeping in mind the recent incidents of disturbances in some competitive examinations, the Ministry of Health has decided to check the strength of the preparations for the NEET-PG entrance examination. Accordingly, it has been decided to postpone the NEET-PG entrance examination to be held tomorrow i.e. on June 23, 2024.’

    NTA DG removed on Saturday night
    The central government removed NTA (National Testing Agency) Director General Subodh Kumar Singh at 9 pm on Saturday night. Pradeep Singh Kharola has been appointed as the new DG. Kharola is the CMD of Indian Trade Promotion Organization. On May 1, 2024, he was given the additional charge of Chairman of Staff Selection Commission (SSC).

    A 7-member committee was formed to reform NTA
    Earlier on the afternoon of June 22, the Ministry of Education announced a 7-member high level committee to prevent irregularities and bring transparency in NTA examinations. Former ISRO Chairman and former IIT Kanpur Director K. Radhakrishnan will be its chief. This committee will submit the report to the Ministry of Education in 2 months.
