Salman Khan firing case : Two more accused arrested by police from Punjab, supplied arms to shooters

Chandigarh : On April 14, the firing incident that took place outside Galaxy Apartment, the home of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, stunned everyone.

Meanwhile, a Mumbai court on Thursday extended the police custody of two people till April 29 arrested in connection with the shooting outside a Bollywood actor’s residence in Bandra.

Now the police has got another big success in this case. Mumbai Police on Thursday arrested two people from Punjab in connection with the shooting. Also a big revelation has been made in the matter.


Two people arrested from Punjab
Mumbai Police on Thursday arrested two people in Punjab in connection with the recent shooting outside actor Salman Khan’s house in Mumbai. An officer said Subhash Chander (37) and Anuj Thapan (32) had provided arms and cartridges to the shooters on March 15. The officer said that both were arrested by the Crime Branch team and they are being taken to Mumbai.


Extended custody of both the accused
Earlier, the police had arrested Vicky Gupta (24 years) and Sagar Pal (21 years) in connection with the firing incident that took place outside Salman Khan’s Bandra house. Both are residents of Bihar. Both the accused were presented in the court today after their previous remand ended. The court has now sent both of them to police custody till April 29.


Anmol Bishnoi is the wanted accused
Gupta and Pal allegedly opened fire outside the house of 58-year-old Salman Khan in Galaxy Apartment in Bandra on the morning of April 14 before fleeing the spot on a motorcycle. The accused were caught on April 16 from Kutch district of Gujarat.

The crime branch team later recovered two pistols, magazines and bullets from Tapi river in Gujarat during a search operation to recover weapons allegedly used in the shooting. Mumbai Police has declared jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his younger brother Anmol Bishnoi as wanted accused in the case.
