Shri Kalki Mahotsav to begin with 'mahayagya' in UP from today

The Shri Kalki Mahotsav, a four-day religious event, is set to commence today with a ‘mahayagya’ (a significant act of worship) in the Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh. Preparations for the event are complete.

Prominent figures from various fields are anticipated to attend this celebration. Acharya Pramod Krishnam, the Peethadhishwar of Shri Kalki Dham, announced in a letter that this traditional event, Shri Kalki Mahotsav 2024, is being held on the sacred land of Sambhal, the birthplace of Shri Kalki Narayan, the tenth incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

The letter expressed the excitement among devotees following the recently held foundation stone-laying ceremony of ‘Shri Kalki Dham’ by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

A key feature of the festival, which celebrates faith and devotion, is the ‘Shiladaan Mahayagya’, intended for the construction of Shri Kalki Dham. During this ritual, participants worship a stone in their name or that of their ancestors, symbolically called ‘Shri Kalki Dham’. This provides the opportunity for devotees to have their names inscribed on these sacred stones, which is believed to grant them an immortal place in the history of Sanatan Dharma.

The letter extends an invitation to join this grand religious, spiritual, social, and cultural event, noting that your presence will enhance the festival’s majesty.

The Mahotsav runs from November 7 to November 11, with daily ‘Shiladaan Mahayagya’ rituals scheduled from 7 to 9 a.m. Devotional satsangs and saint darshans will occur from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., along with cultural programs each evening from 7 to 9:30 p.m.

Earlier this year, in February, Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone and inaugurated the Shri Kalki Dham, which is being built by the Shri Kalki Dham Nirman Trust, headed by Acharya Pramod Krishnam.
