Six Bangladeshis arrested in Dehradun-Haridwar

Dehradun, May 16: Police have arrested 6 Bangladeshi citizens in Dehradun and Haridwar of Uttarakhand. These include four men and two women. Along with this, an Indian woman who was helping them has also been arrested.

Two people had helped in bringing all of them to India, the police is searching for them. The arrested people are being questioned by the police, military, intelligence and IB.

SSP Ajay Singh had received confidential information

Dehradun SSP Ajay Singh said that a confidential information was received that some suspicious people are living in Clement Town area of ​​Dehradun. Based on this information, SSP Dehradun formed a joint team of LIU, SOG and police. After this, the team verified the outsiders in the area and on this basis all these Bangladeshis have been arrested.

Caught from Clementown, Dehradun

The police team found 5 Bangladeshi nationals Nirmal Rai, Shem Rai, Lipi Rai, Krishna alias Santosh, Munir Chandra Rai and 4 minor Bangladeshis from Lane No. 11 Post Office Road, Clementown area. Along with them, an Indian woman Pooja Rani and an Indian minor boy were found.

No valid documents were seen

When Bangladeshi citizens were questioned and asked for valid documents, none of them could show valid passport/visa documents. During this, two illegal Aadhaar cards of Patna, Bihar and West Bengal were recovered from a Bangladeshi citizen Munir Chandra Rai. Bangladesh IDs were recovered from Krishna alias Santosh and Nirmal Rai.

Four minor children were also taken under protection

All the Bangladeshi nationals have been arrested for illegally entering and staying in India. While the Indian woman was arrested for helping the Bangladeshi nationals under conspiracy. 4 Bangladeshi minor children were taken under police protection.
