Ranchi: Three separate road accidents across Jharkhand resulted in six fatalities and four serious injuries, police reported.

The first accident happened near Baihatu village on the Chaibasa-Chakradharpur highway in West Singhbhum district, where a small cargo vehicle collided head-on with an oncoming truck. Three passengers in the cargo vehicle—Seenu Purti (35), Ganga Jarika (36), and Shivram Hembram (30)—died instantly. Another passenger, Jagdish Hembram (35), was critically injured and was sent to Tata Main Hospital after initial treatment. The impact was so intense that the Tata Magic vehicle was completely destroyed. Local residents and authorities worked together to rescue trapped individuals. Chaibasa Mufassil Police Station in-charge Chandrashekhar Kumar confirmed that the three deceased were declared dead at the hospital, and post-mortem examinations are ongoing.
