Former IPS Kiran Bedi praises PM

New Delhi: Kiran Bedi, former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry and a former IPS officer, stated on Saturday that the School of Ultimate Leadership (SOUL) is an initiative inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aimed at nurturing the leaders of tomorrow. “I enjoy engaging with the youth because they possess pure hearts and abundant energy. I reminded them that they are the wealthiest, having health, time, and energy… We are cultivating the future leaders, both young men and women involved in this initiative… SOUL is a concept brought to life by Prime Minister Modi… It embodies the essence of the world,” Bedi shared with ANI.

Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the inaugural SOUL Leadership Conclave at Bharat Mandapam on Friday, with Bhutan’s Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay also in attendance. The two-day conclave, held from February 21st to 22nd, serves as a premier platform for leaders across various fields—politics, sports, arts, media, spirituality, public policy, business, and social sectors—to share their inspiring stories and discuss leadership themes. The event aims to create a collaborative ecosystem for thought leadership, encouraging learning from both successes and failures to motivate young participants.

In his address at the conclave, PM Modi expressed optimism that SOUL would produce exceptional leaders in various domains, calling its establishment a significant milestone in the journey toward “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India). He emphasized the importance of citizen development for nation-building and highlighted the necessity of cultivating top leaders in response to the current demands of society.
