Varanasi, May 8: The weather in UP suddenly changed once again. There was heavy rain in Lucknow-Barabanki in the morning. There was a storm in Prayagraj on Wednesday night. Trees were uprooted and hoardings fell on the roads. 2 people died due to the falling of electric wires and trees.

A tree fell on a moving Bolero on the Lucknow-Ballia highway in Sultanpur. Two friends travelling in the car died in the accident. The administration called a bulldozer to remove the tree, only then could the bodies be taken out of the car. There was heavy rain with strong winds in Varanasi late at night.

The weather department has issued an alert of thunderstorms, rain and lightning in 20 districts of UP today, on Thursday. Talking about yesterday i.e. Wednesday, Banda was the hottest city. The maximum temperature recorded was 42.2°C degrees.

Raebareli was the coldest city. The minimum temperature recorded here was 18.8°C. The Meteorological Department says that due to continuous rain, the average temperature of the state has dropped by 2 degrees. The weather will remain the same for the next 48 hours.
