Thank PM Modi for giving due to Sikhs, AAP ignored community, says Manjinder Singh Sirsa

New Delhi: Ahead of his swearing-in as a minister in Delhi, MLA-elect Manjinder Singh Sirsa expressed his gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior BJP leaders for recognizing the Sikh community, which he claims was overlooked by the previous AAP government.

Sirsa stated, “I am thankful for the chance to serve as a minister in Delhi. I owe my gratitude to Prime Minister Modi, Amit Shah, and Jagat Prakash Nadda for reinstating the Sikh ministerial position that was lost due to AAP’s policies after 12 years.”

He mentioned that he has been included in the team tasked with fulfilling PM Modi’s vision for Delhi. “This is a chance for all of us to collaborate and restore the beauty of Delhi,” Sirsa remarked.

He secured a victory from the Rajouri Garden Assembly seat, defeating AAP’s Dhanwati Chandela by 18,190 votes, with a total of 64,132 votes compared to Chandela’s 45,942.

Sirsa will be sworn in alongside five other ministers: Parvesh Sahib Singh, Ashish Sood, Ravinder Indraj Singh, Kapil Mishra, and Pankaj Kumar Singh. The ceremony will take place at Ramlila Maidan and is expected to attract a high-profile audience, including PM Modi, the Union Cabinet members, and several state chief ministers.

Delhi’s CM-designate Rekha Gupta also conveyed her thanks to PM Modi and the party leadership for their trust, affirming, “I will meet their expectations.”
