UP Weather: Rain in 10 districts; Heatwave in 32 districts, storms disrupt flights

Varanasi, April 28: In UP, the weather department has issued a rain alert in 10 districts and a heat wave alert in 32 districts on Monday. Heavy rain with thunderstorms occurred in Gorakhpur at night. It has been raining in Ghazipur since morning. There are clouds in Lucknow, cold winds are blowing. In many parts of the state, winds will blow at a speed of 30 to 40 km during the day.

Due to the storm on Sunday, 3 flights could not land in Patna, all three were diverted to Varanasi. All three flights took off from Varanasi to Patna with a delay of 2 to 3 hours. Lucknow’s meteorologist, Atul Kumar Singh, said – Western disturbance has become active. Due to this, there will be rain with strong winds in different areas till April 30.

In the areas where it will rain, there will not be relief from the heat for long. The maximum temperature of the state can reach 49 degrees Celsius in May.

There was a storm alert in many districts on Saturday night

On Sunday, there was a storm in many districts, including Lucknow, Kanpur, Barabanki and Raebareli. Hundreds of trees fell due to the storm in Lucknow and Kanpur. The storm in Lalitpur was so strong that wedding chairs and tin sheds flew away.

It is becoming difficult to go out after 10 am in Bareilly. The maximum temperature has reached above 40 degrees Celsius. The temperature on Monday will be 40 degrees. Due to the heat, school timings have also been changed.

Ayodhya will have cloudy and rainy weather till April 30

Light sunshine has come out in Ayodhya since morning. Winds are blowing, which is giving relief from the heat. According to the weather department of Acharya Narendra Dev Agriculture University, till April 30, sometimes cloudy, sometimes light rain and stormy weather will prevail.
