Veteran BJP leader LK Advani admitted to hospital again, doctor says ‘Under Observation’

New Delhi: Former Deputy Prime Minister and senior BJP leader LK Advani’s health has deteriorated again. 96-year-old Advani was brought to Apollo Hospital in Delhi at 9 pm on Wednesday. According to the bulletin issued by the hospital, his condition is stable. He is under the observation of neurologist Dr. Vineet Suri.

7 days before this, on June 26, Advani was also admitted to AIIMS Hospital in Delhi. During this time he was kept under the supervision of Dr. Amlesh Seth of the Urology Department. The hospital had told that Advani had undergone a small operation. He was discharged the next day.

LK Advani was given the country’s highest civilian honor Bharat Ratna on March 31. President Draupadi Murmu went to his house and honored him with Bharat Ratna. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Home Minister Amit Shah and former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu were also present on this occasion.

Prime Minister Modi had announced to give him Bharat Ratna on February 3. Earlier in 2015, Advani was awarded the country’s second highest civilian award Padma Vibhushan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had come to seek blessings from Lal Krishna Advani on June 7 for NDA’s third consecutive victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. During this, he presented a bouquet to Advani.
