Weather updates: IMD issues rainfall and snowfall alerts in North India

New Delhi: The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in the plains and snowfall in the hilly areas of the country. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, between March 12 and 14, there is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall in the western Himalayan region. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in many states of North India including Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain the same for the next few days as there may be rain in the plains of the country and snowfall in the hilly areas.

The Meteorological Department has said that on March 13 and 14, lightning is likely to occur in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Light rain is likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

The weather of Delhi is also constantly changing. People of Delhi-NCR have started to feel the heat. Meanwhile, the IMD has issued an update regarding the rains. The Meteorological Department says that the sky will be clear on Tuesday and light rain may occur at some places in Delhi on Wednesday.

Along with this, the Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in many states of North India including Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana. According to IMD, light rain is likely to occur in Punjab, North Haryana, Chandigarh, West Uttar Pradesh and West Rajasthan on March 13.

Apart from this, light rain is likely to occur in West Bengal, Orissa and Jharkhand in the next few days. Along with this, rain is likely to occur in East Madhya Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh on March 16 and 17.
