NEET Exam Cancelled Again

The NEET exam holds immense importance in our country, as it is a nationwide exam that selects doctors for medical practice. Students place great importance on this exam. Coaching centers exist from Kota to Delhi, where thousands of students work day and night to pass the NEET exam. But it’s ironic that despite all the hard work and careful testing, reports of paper leaks or the use of solvers continue to surface. Cancelling the entire exam is extremely difficult, so officials often cancel the exam in specific areas, leaving the fate of honest and sincere students in that area in limbo. This time, the NEET exam, held on May 3rd and attended by 22.79 lakh students, has been cancelled due to allegations of paper leaks. Following the cancellation of the exam by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the investigation into the paper leak allegations has been handed over to the CBI. A new exam date has not yet been decided. Due to the cancellation, students will have to re-appear for the exam. However, the NTA has clarified that students reappearing will not have to re-register. Their exam centers will also remain unchanged. New admit cards will be issued for the re-exams. The fees of students appearing for the exam will also be refunded. It should be noted that in 2024, the exam was also cancelled in some centers due to paper leaks. At that time, 1,539 candidates had to re-appear for the exam. This year, over 300 questions in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology were leaked, along with written answers. Of these, 150 appeared identically in the NEET exam. This is a clear case of paper leak. Manish, who was arrested in Jaipur, is being considered the mastermind behind this paper leak, who carried out this operation in connivance with his associates. The Special Operations Group is working to uncover the entire network. During the investigation, it was discovered that this network may have ties to neighboring states. The question arises: why does this happen so frequently? Why haven’t we yet created a foolproof exam structure? The investigation will continue, but the hard work of the unfortunate students has already been thwarted. Why should the dreams of young people be shattered? This situation must be reversed as soon as possible.
