Meerut: BJP national president Nitin Nabin arrived in Meerut on Monday for a two-day visit to Western Uttar Pradesh as the party steps up its organisational preparations for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
Nabin is scheduled to hold meetings with senior state leaders, party office-bearers and grassroots workers during his visit. The tour is focused on reviewing organisational preparedness and gathering feedback from different levels of the party organisation.
This is Nabin’s first visit to Western Uttar Pradesh since taking charge as the BJP’s national president.
BJP Reviews Booth-Level Organisation
During his Meerut visit, Nabin is reviewing the party’s organisational preparedness at the booth, Shakti Kendra, Mandal and district levels.
A large number of BJP workers welcomed Nabin at Kashi Toll Plaza after his arrival. Tractors and bulldozers were also deployed as part of the welcome arrangements, while workers raised slogans and traditional drums were played.
Nabin later visited Subharti University, where Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and state BJP president Pankaj Chaudhary were also present.
A ‘Yuva Samvad’ (Youth Dialogue) was organised at the university to facilitate interaction between Nabin and students.
Meetings With Party Workers, MPs and MLAs
Following the youth dialogue, Nabin attended a conference of Shakti Kendra convenors and Mandal presidents from Western Uttar Pradesh.
The meetings focused on reviewing preparations at different organisational levels and engaging directly with party workers.
Nabin is also scheduled to meet former office-bearers, MPs and MLAs from Western Uttar Pradesh. Discussions are expected to cover the functioning of the organisation, preparations for the 2027 Assembly elections and feedback from the grassroots level.
The visit comes after recent changes in the BJP’s organisational structure and the appointment of district in-charges. Nabin is also reviewing the functioning of the new organisational teams during his tour.
Nabin to Visit Saharanpur on Tuesday
On the second day of his tour, Nabin will travel to Saharanpur, where he is scheduled to have a meal at the residence of a BJP worker.
He will subsequently hold meetings with former office-bearers, MPs, MLAs and district-level organisational officials.
Nabin is also scheduled to visit the Shakambhari Devi Temple before returning to Delhi.
