No Bail Relief for Bikram Singh Majithia, Next Hearing on August 11

Amritsar: The bail plea of former Punjab minister Bikram Singh Majithia, arrested in the disproportionate assets case, was heard again in the Mohali court today. But he did not get relief even today. Now the hearing of this case will be held on August 11.

While the petition for changing the barrack will also be heard on August 12. Majithia was arrested by the Vigilance on June 25 from his Amritsar residence. Since then, he is lodged in Nabha jail.

It is difficult for Majithia to come out of jail

It is difficult for Bikram Singh Majithia to come out of jail now because apart from the disproportionate assets case, another case is registered against him in Amritsar. It is alleged that when the Vigilance Bureau team reached him on June 25, he misbehaved with the team and got into a scuffle with the police personnel.

During this time, a case has also been registered against one of his supporters. Non-bailable sections have been imposed on him. In such a situation, one thing is clear that even if he gets bail, the Amritsar police will arrest him.
