A bloody clash erupted between two neighbors in Bharti Colony, under the jurisdiction of the Purana Industrial Police Station in Panipat, over a cricket ball.
The neighbors beat Amit (41), a former CRPF jawan, to death. The former serviceman was admitted to a private hospital late at night. His family members have accused a neighboring family of committing the murder. The police are currently investigating the matter.
Sumit, a resident of Bharti Colony, stated that Amit was a jawan in the CRPF. After retiring from service, he had become paralyzed, which is why he was living with his brother. On Friday, some children from the neighborhood were playing cricket.
The ball struck Amit, prompting him to scold the children. Enraged by this incident, the neighbors barged into his home and attacked him.
Amit sustained severe head injuries during the assault and was admitted to a hospital for treatment, where he subsequently passed away while undergoing medical care.
