Panipat: An incident involving the rape of a 15-year-old minor girl has come to light within the jurisdiction of the Qila Police Station area in Panipat. Late at night, the accused lured the victim to a center located in Saini Colony, where he perpetrated this heinous crime against her. Acting swiftly upon a complaint filed by the victim’s father, the police have registered a case against the accused under various serious sections of the law, including the POCSO Act.
A minor girl went missing from home late at night
In the complaint submitted to the police, the victim’s father a laborer by profession stated that his 15-year-old eldest daughter had left their home sometime around 1:30 AM on the night of May 5. Family members made extensive efforts to search for her on their own, but they could find no trace of her. The entire family spent the night under a cloud of anxiety and terror.
Accused Flees After Dropping Victim Home
Around 4:30 AM, a young boy dropped their daughter back home. When the family members questioned her sternly, she recounted her ordeal, revealing that a youth named Parvez had lured her to a center located in Saini Colony. There, the accused raped her against her will. After committing the crime, the accused dropped the victim near her home and fled the scene.
Case Registered Under the POCSO Act
Upon learning of this brutal act committed against his daughter, the father immediately filed a written complaint with the Qila Police Station. Recognizing the gravity of the matter, the police took immediate action and registered a case against the accused, Parvez. The Qila Police have booked the accused under Section 65(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.
