New Delhi: On the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday called on the countrymen to unite against forces that harm India’s dignity, honor, social harmony, and cultural heritage.
The Prime Minister said that those who tarnish the country’s reputation, create divisions in society, and spread hatred towards Indian culture are actually the enemies of the nation.
He said, “Our ancient sages have taught us that all political parties and all institutions must remain united against the enemies.”
PM Modi’s message emphasized the need for collective resolve and unity. He appealed to the countrymen to identify and confront those who are against Mother India.
Greetings to the countrymen on Vijayadashami
Beginning his address on the occasion of Vijayadashami, Prime Minister Modi bowed at the feet of Lord Ram, Mother Janaki, and Bajrangbali. He said, “On the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami, I bow at the feet of Lord Ram, Mother Janaki, and Bajrangbali. I extend my heartfelt greetings to all my countrymen on Vijayadashami.”
The Prime Minister said that today, an atmosphere of devotion and faith in Lord Ram prevails in every corner of the country. Ramlilas are being organized from villages to cities.
He said that Ramlilas keep alive the ideals of Lord Ram. They convey the message of the end of oppression and the victory of eternal truth over falsehood.
Mentioned the ideals of Lord Ram
Prime Minister Modi said that India’s faith in Lord Ram has endured for thousands of years. This faith is not limited to the victory over Ravana, but is rooted in Lord Ram’s ideals, which guide all humanity.
He said, “Lord Ram faced many difficulties in his life, but he never abandoned the path of truth and morality.”
PM Modi recalled that Lord Ram neither displayed arrogance upon attaining the throne nor lost his patience in grief upon being exiled. He upheld Dharma and decorum in every difficult situation.
During his exile, Lord Ram embraced Nishadraj and respected Mata Shabari. According to the Prime Minister, these incidents represent the ideals of compassion, kindness, love, and social harmony.
After returning to Ayodhya, Lord Ram established Ramrajya, which is still considered a model of good governance. The vision of Ramrajya is linked to a society where there is no discrimination and everyone receives justice and equal opportunities.
Message of ‘Ram to Nation and God to Country’
Prime Minister Modi also referred to the thoughts expressed during the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He said that the vision expressed on that occasion gives the country a clear direction—the direction of moving from ‘Ram to Nation’ and ‘God to Country’.
He expressed confidence that if the countrymen remain united with a single purpose, this transformative journey can be accomplished.
The Prime Minister’s message linked national unity with cultural pride and social harmony. Trends that create divisions in society and spread hatred towards Indian culture were described as a threat to the nation’s foundation.
This call urged citizens to understand their duties towards the nation, remain united, and strengthen national unity.
