Patna: Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor on Monday secured his maiden electoral victory after winning the Bankipur Assembly bypoll by more than 19,000 votes, defeating BJP candidate Neeraj Kumar.
Kishor Calls Victory a ‘Message for BJP’
Reacting to the result, Kishor said the Bankipur verdict was a clear message for the BJP and directly targeted Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary.
He said the outcome showed that voters were looking for an alternative and had rejected what he described as the BJP’s politics in the constituency.

The Bankipur bypoll marks Prashant Kishor’s first electoral victory since launching the Jan Suraaj campaign and later transforming it into a political party.
