The Punjab School Education Board has taken an important decision for students studying in affiliated and associated schools from the academic year 2026-27. Now, textbooks from classes I to XII will be provided to the students directly by the board through the schools.
The main objective of this initiative of the board is to reduce the financial burden on students and their parents. Under this, the benefit of 15 percent discount will now be provided directly to the students, due to which the textbooks will be available at a lower price.
A special web portal has been created on the official website of the board to receive the demand for textbooks. Schools can go to the ‘Book Demand’ page through their login ID and submit the demand for the required books class-wise and subject-wise by filling it online by 15 March 2026.
The board has appealed to all affiliated and associated schools to ensure that they fill the book demand proforma by going to their school login before the specified date, so that the necessary arrangements can be made smoothly before the start of the new session.
