Chandigarh, August 14: An important decision has been taken in the cabinet meeting of the Punjab government. The government has denotified the land pooling policy. The meeting took place at CM Bhagwant Mann’s residence in Chandigarh. Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema will soon hold a press conference. Recently, the government had announced to withdraw the policy.
CM Bhagwant Mann will meet the newly appointed IAS officers. It is believed that the government’s focus in this meeting would have been on the by-election in Tarn Taran, because elections can be held there anytime. However, the CM has been active in the field for the last few days.
He spent two days in his constituency, after which he reached Fatehgarh Sahib, where he sent Panchs and Sarpanchs to Maharashtra for training. There, he laid the foundation stone for the inauguration of Panchayat buildings. Apart from this, he also participated in the training of women party workers in Mohali.
