The Punjab government is stepping up parental participation to improve the quality of education in government schools and make them world-class. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, a Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) was organized across 19,200 government schools in all 23 districts of the state, providing a platform for parents to engage directly with their children’s education. Approximately 2.1 million parents participated in the initiative.
According to the Punjab government, the campaign aims to improve student learning outcomes, strengthen coordination between teachers and parents, and ensure that every child has access to quality education and equal opportunities for growth.
Emphasis on Parental Participation Through Mega PTM
