Rivers in Punjab are still in spate. The danger still remains in Ludhiana. Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is arriving to take stock of the flood. Recently, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan came to take stock of the flood. He had said that illegal mining was the major reason for the flood and damage.
No alert has been issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) for today. Similar weather is expected for the next one week. However, normal rainfall is expected during this time. During this time, an increase in temperature can also be seen.
CM Mann will not meet the Prime Minister
The Prime Minister is coming to Punjab, but CM Bhagwant Mann will not meet him. Even before his visit, he had expressed regret for his not coming on his social media. He says that due to ill health, he will not be able to meet the Prime Minister and will not be able to walk with him.
Congress MLA’s letter to PM
Congress MLA Rana Gurjit Singh has written a letter to the Prime Minister. In this, he has mentioned the huge loss caused by the floods in Punjab. He has demanded proper compensation for the farmers and also pointed out the need to improve the system. He has expressed hope that the central government will make a long-term plan for the rehabilitation of the affected families, help to farmers and laborers, strengthen of dams, and deal with floods in the future.
