Ludhiana : An 11-year-old innocent boy died after being hit by a train while crossing the railway track in Salem Tabri area on Monday afternoon, while two other children present with him narrowly escaped.
The deceased has been identified as 11-year-old Shiva, resident of Kundanpuri, Police Station G.R.P. The police have taken the body into custody and sent it to the civil hospital for post-mortem.
Shiva’s brother Karan told that his father does paint work. He has four brothers and one sister. Shiva was the youngest among them, who studied in first class.
In the afternoon, Shiva came towards the railway track with his elder brother, 13-year-old Priyanshu and aunt’s son Vicky. At that time, Shiva died on the spot after being hit by the train, while Shiva’s elder brother Priyanshu and aunt’s son Vicky narrowly escaped.
The police took the body into custody and sent it to the Civil Hospital for post-mortem and started further action on the basis of the statements of the family members.
