Amritsar: After the deportation action being taken by the new US President Donald Trump, tomorrow i.e. on Saturday, the second aircraft will arrive at Amritsar airport carrying around 119 Indians. Most of them are Punjabi youths. A total of 67 Punjabi youths are in this group. It is estimated that the said aircraft will reach Amritsar International Airport tomorrow i.e. on Saturday at around 10 to 11 in the morning.
According to information received from sources, among the deported Indians, 67 are Punjabis, 33 are Haryanvi, 8 are from Gujarat, 3 from Uttar Pradesh, 2 from Maharashtra, 2 from Rajasthan, 2 passengers each from Goa, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir. However, no statement or other information has been shared by Amritsar International Airport regarding this. Let us tell you that earlier on 5 February, a C-17 aircraft carrying 104 Indians had landed in Amritsar.
They were sent to India from there through white passports. However, this time there is a discussion that the plane in which the said people are being brought to India is Indian. At present, no statement has been issued at the official level regarding this.
America sent military aircraft to India for the first time
This US military plane left for San Antonio, America at 3 am on February 4 according to Indian time. This is the first time that America used a military plane to send immigrants. The US Air Force plane returned after about 3 and a half hours.
Earlier, different reports claimed that the US has identified a total of 205 illegal Indians for deportation. They will be sent to India. A list of 186 Indians to be deported was also revealed. When the plane landed, it was clear that only 104 Indians were deported from the said group. The cost of sending the Globemaster to India was about Rs 6 crore.
There are around 7 lakh illegal Indian immigrants in America
According to the Pew Research Center, by the year 2023, there will be more than 7 lakh illegal Indian immigrants in America. This is the highest after Mexico and El Salvador. According to the government organization (ICE) that deals with illegal immigrants in America, an average of 90 thousand Indian citizens have been caught trying to enter illegally in the last 3 years. A large part of these immigrants are coming from Punjab, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh.
