Jalandhar: In tragic news, a 14-year-old school-going student died in an accident in Jalandhar. The student lost his life when he was on his way to school early in the morning.
The accident took place near Aman Enclave, Kot Sadiq Gha Mandi in Jalandhar. The 14-year-old was on an Activa scooter on his way to school when a truck hit him on the road. The accident was so severe that the boy died on spot.
The truck driver after the accident tried to escape from the spot but people there chased him and caught him. The Driver was later handed over to the Police.
According to the information, 14-year-old Raunit Sheikh, a resident of Basti, was going to school on Activa when a truck crushed him. Raunit was a student of Sai Das School.
Angry family members have sat on the strike and are demanding justice. SHO Bhushan Sharma reached the spot, detained the truck driver and started trying to pacify the family members and get the protest removed. Police have started action to register a case against the truck driver.
