2 dead, Nine injured after temp traveller returning from Maha Kumbh collides with truck

The return journey of pilgrims who had left for Prayagraj Mahakumbh and Ayodhya from Fazilka turned into a tragic accident. Two Fazilka pilgrims died and nine others were seriously injured when a tempo traveller collided with a truck in Jaunpur, UP late last night.

A passenger, Raj Kumar, who narrowly escaped the accident, said that there were a total of 14 pilgrims in the tempo traveller. Out of these, there were residents of Fazilka’s new population, Badal Colony and Nehru Nagar, while some were residents of Sri Muktsar Sahib. The pilgrims first went to take a bath in Prayagraj Mahakumbh and then visited the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

A total of 14 people were on board the vehicle in this accident, including Tarksheel Singh son of Harpal Singh, a resident of Fazilka, and Hardial Chand son of Ramrakha, a resident of Fazilka, who died on the spot.

In this accident, 9 people were seriously injured and three people suffered minor injuries. All the injured have been immediately admitted to the UP District Hospital Jaunpur for treatment. The deceased’s  family has been informed about the tragic news.
