23-year-old youth dies in road accident in Jalandhar

Jalandhar: A 23-year-old youth died after being hit by an unknown vehicle near Maqsuda in Jalandhar, Punjab. The deceased has been identified as Goyam Jain, son of Rajesh Jain, a resident of Kila Mohalla. At the time of the incident, Goyam was riding his friend’s Bullet bike. His Activa was with another friend.

The police has got the post-mortem done and handed over the body to the family. A case has been registered against an unknown vehicle and investigation has been started. At present it is not clear whether the said Goyam was hit by a vehicle.

He died during treatment as soon as he was taken to the hospital

Goyam Jain’s friends said that he had gone to eat at a restaurant located at Amandeep Avenue in Maqsudan as usual. When they started going home at around 10:30 pm, Goyam Jain gave the keys of his Activa to his friend and asked him to give his Bullet. After some time, when they reached Maqsudan Chowk, Goyam Jain met with an accident near Maqsudan police station.

With the help of nearby people and friends, he was immediately taken to the hospital. Where he died during treatment. According to the information received, before returning home, Goyam had called the family and told them that he was coming home. At 11.30 pm, a call came that he had met with an accident. Police have registered a case against unknown persons in the matter.
