Chandigarh: A case of massive fire has been reported in Sarangpur near Dhanas in Chandigarh. Four shops were burnt to ashes in the fire. Fire brigade vehicles have reached the spot to douse the fire. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
Many marble and tile shops in Sarangpur have also come under the grip of this fire. The fire has been brought under control.
Fire brought under control in one hour
A fire broke out in the warehouses of the furniture market in which about 4 shops have been burnt. The fire department received the first information at 6.55 am. 6 vehicles arrived from Sector 11, 17, 38 and Industrial Area to douse the fire.
They brought the fire under control in about an hour. There were no casualties in the fire. The rest of the furniture and marble shops are safe.
