Jalandhar: Polling was held yesterday from 7 am to 6 pm in Jalandhar West Constituency. District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal informed that 54.98% voter turnout was recorded in the bypoll of Jalandhar West assembly Constituency on July 10, 2024.
Dr. Aggarwal stated that the bypoll was conducted peacefully with no incidents of violence during the voting process.
He further informed that the counting of votes would be scheduled for July 13, 2024, starting at 8 am at Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women.
He extended his gratitude to all voters, election staff, and security forces for ensuring the smooth and successful completion of the entire polling procedure in the constituency.
