AAP MP Malvinder Kang raises Punjab Drug Smuggling issue in Parliament; seeks parliamentary debate

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP from Sri Anandpur Sahib Malvinder Singh Kang has filed an adjournment notice in Parliament on the issue of drug smuggling from Pakistan through drones in Punjab. He has demanded a debate in Parliament on this issue. He said that the Punjab government is currently running a campaign to stop drug smuggling, so it is necessary to discuss this issue so that the future of the youth can be protected.

CM Punjab has also written a letter to the Union Home Minister

In a motion sent to the Lok Sabha Secretary General, Malvinder Singh Kang said, “I wish to move an adjournment motion regarding the increasing drone activities with the intention of drug smuggling in our country, particularly on the international border of Punjab and Pakistan.”

Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann had written a letter to the Home Minister expressing his deep concern over the illegal smuggling of drugs through drones across the international border. Now, the Punjab government has launched an anti-drug campaign with the aim of making Punjab a drug-free and prosperous state.

Punjab government installed anti-drone system

The Punjab government is also engaged in new planning to deal with drug smuggling through drones. The Punjab government is now engaged in establishing its own anti-drone system. Trials of three companies have also been conducted for this. Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema and Aman Arora say that this system will be purchased soon. This matter will also be discussed with the BSF.
