AAP to introspect reasons for defeat in Punjab: CM Mann to hold meetings with leaders of Patiala and Firozpur

Chandigarh: The party organization has started looking for the reasons for the defeat of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Punjab in the Lok Sabha elections. CM Bhagwant Mann has now decided to hold a meeting with constituency-wise leaders. In this connection, a meeting of Patiala and Ferozepur Lok Sabha constituencies has been called today.

The meeting will be held at 3 pm at the CM residence. Party candidates, organization members of the constituency and chairman will be present in it.

At the same time, intelligence reports will also be present with the CM on this occasion. The party has been at number two in both the constituencies. The party had fielded Health Minister Balbir Singh from Patiala Lok Sabha constituency. While MLA Jagdeep Singh Kaka Brar was the party candidate from Ferozepur.

There was a close contest on the Ferozepur seat

The contest on the Ferozepur seat has been very close. This seat went to the account of Congress. Congress had got 266626 votes. While the party got 263384 votes here. At the same time, BJP was at number three. While NOTA has got six thousand votes here.

Similarly, the party has been at number two in Patiala. Here Congress has got 305616 votes. Whereas the party has got 290785 votes. NOTA has got six thousand votes in this constituency too.
