Ludhiana: In Jagraon, police took strict action against drug smugglers and seized the house of a woman smuggler. DSP Varinder Singh Khosa himself reached to put up the notice. During this, he said that drug smugglers will not be spared. The property of all those smugglers who made land, property etc. by selling drugs will be confiscated, DSP added.
DSP Varinder Singh Khosa said that a case of drug smuggling was registered against the accused woman Sunita in 2022. In this case, Police have seized the 4 Marla house built by the money earned from selling drugs. He said that the Dakha police station is checking the records of more drug smugglers. Legal action will be taken against those who have made property by selling drugs and the property will be confiscated by Police.
DSP Dakha said that in 2022, the police had registered a case in the police station Dakha while taking action against the accused doing Chura poppy business. During this time, the police had registered a case against the accused Sunita along with her husband Manjit Singh alias Raju alias Mannu and her partner Ranjit Singh.
He said that the police had received secret information that the accused woman along with her husband and other partners sells Churapost in the city and nearby villages. The accused woman had hidden Churapost in her house as well as in the house of her partner Ranjit Singh. Based on the information, the police raided and recovered a huge amount of Churapost.
