Ludhiana: In village Akalgarh Kalan of Ludhiana district, a drug addict youth set his own house on fire when he did not get money for drugs at around 10 pm last night. It is being told that when the accused youth asked his mother for money to buy chitta (heroin), the mother refused to give money to buy drugs. Furious by this, the youth got angry and set the house on fire.
Not only this, after setting the house on fire, the drug addict himself sat inside and threatened to commit suicide. On getting the information about the fire, the people around took the mother of the youth out of the burning house with great difficulty.
Due to the fire, the fridge, AC and LED along with other household items were burnt to ashes. After getting the information, the fire department team reached the spot and controlled the fire.
According to the information, in village of Akalgarh Kalan, an addict youth set his house on fire due to not having money to buy drugs. The fire brigade personnel controlled the fire after a lot of hard work. The accused has been arrested by the Sudhar police.
