After huge win in By-elections, AAP to take out ‘Shukrana Yatra’ from Patiala to Amritsar

Patiala: Punjab Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will take out a thanksgiving yatra today (26 November) to celebrate the victory in three assembly constituencies in the by-elections. This yatra will start from Kali Mata Temple in Patiala and go till Amritsar. The yatra will be welcomed in many assembly constituencies in the state.

The party has created history by winning this election, the party now has a total of 95 MLAs. Before the civic elections, AAP will try to instill enthusiasm in the party workers on this pretext. This is the first such yatra of the party in three and a quarter years. Recently during the by-elections, out of 4 seats AAP won 3 seats.

AAP’s Thanks giving rally 

The yatra will start from Patiala Kali Mata Temple at 9:00 am. After this, it will reach Sachkhand Sri Darbar Sahib via Sirhind, Mandi Gobindgarh, Khanna, Doraha, Ludhiana, Ladowal Toll Plaza, Phillaur, Phagwara, Jalandhar and Kartarpur Sahib. After paying obeisance there, the yatra will conclude by visiting Durgiana Temple and then Valmiki Ramtirth Temple.

In view of the enthusiasm of party workers and leaders after the huge victory in the by-election, it has been decided to take out the yatra. The yatra will be led by the newly appointed party chief Aman Arora and working president Sherry Kalsi.

By-elections were held in four assembly constituencies of Punjab, Chabbewal, Dera Baba Nanak, Gidderbaha and Barnala. In the by-election, all the seats except Barnala seat have come in AAP’s account. All these seats have been won by Aam Aadmi Party for the first time. However, Barnala seat, which was called the stronghold of AAP has now been captured by Congress.
