Ahead of Polls, SAD leader Sikander Singh Maluka bats for BJP, showers praise on PM Modi

Bathinda: Shiromani Akali Dal’s senior leader Sikandar Singh Maluka has been staying silent and away from politics after his daughter-in-law and son joined BJP. Now, days ahead of polling in Punjab, Maluka has openly supported the BJP and showered prasies on PM Narendra Modi.

Before polls, Maluka in video message, suddenly heaped praise on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. After video of Maluka, favoring BJP and Modi, leaders of the Akali Dal are even in shock.

Let us tell you that Maluka is the chairman of the disciplinary committee of the Akali Dal. He had distanced himself from the election campaign after his daughter-in-law joined the BJP on April 9.

Although he was campaigning for the candidate Harsimrat Kaur Badal till the first week of April, he did not campaign for either the Akali Dal or the BJP thereafter.

In a video message, Maluka tied the bridges of compliments of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday. He released a video on his social media handle. He highlighted the sacrifices of the Sikh community. He praised the work done by Narendra Modi on a large scale for the Sikh community. He even appealed Sikh leaders to reach out to Narendra Modi after elections for the redressal of problems faced by them and community.

Raising the issues of Three farm laws, waiving off GST on Langar, and Opening of Kartarpur Sahib Corridor, Maluka said that PM Modi has worked for Sikh community and his work should be appreciated.

Indirectly, he campaigned for BJP and his daughter in law Parampal Kaur who is contesting election from the Bathinda Lok Sabha seat against Harsimrat Kaur Badal.
