Alert of thunderstorm and lightning in 16 districts of Punjab, Light rain likely

Punjab and Chandigarh are experiencing severe heat at this time. The average maximum temperature of the state has increased by 1 degree in 24 hours, which is 1.6 degrees more than the normal temperature. Apart from this, a yellow alert has been issued for dust storm/thunderstorm with rain/lightning with strong winds (30-40 kmph) at many places in Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Rupnagar, Mohali, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Ferozepur, Faridkot, Moga, Barnala, Mansa, Bathinda, Muktsar and Fazilka districts.

Light to moderate rain is likely at some places on 21st, 23rd, 24th and 25th, while the weather will remain dry on 22nd. Light to moderate rain is likely at some places on 26th.
